There could be several reasons why the rear speaker is not working in surround sound. It could be due to a loose connection or faulty wiring between the speaker and the audio receiver. To expand a soundbar to have surround sound, you can add additional speakers to create a multi-channel audio setup. One option is to purchase a separate set of surround sound speakers and connect them to your soundbar using speaker wire or a wireless connection, if supported. Another option is to invest in a soundbar system that includes wireless surround speakers, which can be placed behind or to the sides of the listening area to create a more immersive surround sound experience. Some soundbars also support the addition of a subwoofer for enhanced bass, further enhancing the overall audio experience. **
